Fees / Tuition

POLICIES

1. Each child has a reserved place, no tuition refunds or make-up time can be given. Tuition is an annual charge divided into equal payments. It is not a charge based on the current month. Therefore, as the school is open year round and the staff is present, no exceptions to this policy can be made.
2. All fees, except monthly tuition, are due at the time the application is accepted. The fees are as follows:
   Enrollment Fees (Annually) are NON REFUNDABLE
   Tuition Deposit (One Time)
3. Tuition is due on the first day the child attends school and on the first day of each month thereafter. Payment received later than the eight day of the month is subject to a $20.00 late charge. Returned check charge is $20.
4. The tuition deposit is refundable through June 1st, should you decide not to send your child to Del Mar Hills Nursery School. After June 1st, the tuition deposit becomes non-refundable.
5. In order to receive a tuition deposit refund during the school year (September 1st through June 30th), a four (4) week written notice of withdrawal is mandatory on the 30th of the month. If no written notice is given, the tuition deposit cannot be refunded for any reason.
6. While your child is a student of Del Mar Hills Nursery School, you have the option of enrollment either in July or August summer programs or both, and must notify the school of your preference prior to May 1st.
7. We will keep your child after the time for which he/she is signed up (prior to 6:00 pm) however, you will be charged for extra hours @ $8.00 per hour on your next bill.
8. We open at 7 am and close at 6:00 pm. Children picked up after 6:00 pm will be charged a late fee. (6:00 - 6:10 pm: $10 + $1 per minute thereafter.)
9. There is no reduction for illness, scheduled holidays or family vacations. Tuition is not reduced for school closings.
10. The school will give thirty (30) days notice prior to a tuition change.
11. Tuition includes: snacks, milk and juice, Pre-Kindergarten sessions, Kindergarten, and Orff Schulwerk sessions.

ENROLLMENT FEES:

Enrollment Fee (non-refundable): $200
Tuition Deposit (applied to last bill): $200
Nap/Rest Mat: $30

• Enrollment fees must accompany the application form, and are non-refundable.
• Tuition deposit is applied to your last tuition bill, providing your account is up-to-date. For early withdrawals from the school, the tuition deposit will be refunded to you if your request for withdrawal is submitted by the 15th day of the month prior to your last month of attendance (example: If your written request is submitted by December 15th and your last day will be January 31st.).

Extra Fees

Extra hours, before 6 pm: $8/hour
Late Charge, after 6pm (to 6:10pm): $10/occurrence/child
Late Charge, after 6:10pm: $10 plus $1/minute
Late tuition after 8th of month: $20
Returned check/occurrence: $20

• Tuition is due the first school day of the month.
• Tuition paid after the 8th day of the month is subject to a $20 late fee.
• A 10% tuition discount applies to additional children from the same family enrolled during the same school year.
• There is no tuition reduction for illness, scheduled holidays, family vacations or emergency closings.
• Returned check charge is $20 per occurrence.
• Schedule changes must be approved by the Director.
• Past due tuition must be paid by cashier’s check.
• This schedule supercedes all previous tuition schedules.
• The school will give at least 30 days’ notice prior to further tuition changes.
